Manitowoc unveils exciting cranes and a host of new customer support services at bauma 2025

  • A range of products and services will be presented – all designed to help customers achieve more productivity and return on investment with their Manitowoc cranes.
  • One of the highlights will be a Grove Plug-in Hybrid all-terrain crane, which offers customers an exciting option for more sustainable lifting.
  • There will be a strong focus on aftermarket support with several new technologies and services to enhance the customer experience.

Manitowoc will display 12 cranes over 3,300 m2 across three stands (FS1202, FS1202/2, FS1201) in its familiar location in the South/East open-air area at bauma 2025 in Munich, Germany. The Company will introduce new products and technologies and focus heavily on its range of value-added customer support services.

“This year at bauma 2025, we are excited to host our customers and dealers from around the world to showcase our latest innovations. We are prepared to discuss our extensive range of aftermarket services, which include new products, used equipment sales and EnCORE remanufacturing; Grove CONNECT™ and Potain CONNECT™ telematic systems; and our cutting-edge training programs. Our partnership with customers spans the product lifecycle, and our aftermarket support helps crane owners maximize their return on invested capital,” said Ion Warner, SVP Marketing and Investor Relations of Manitowoc.

New product development is the lifeblood at Manitowoc. A ground-breaking new Plug-in Hybrid mobile crane from Grove will take center stage. The GMK5150XLe all-terrain crane provides up to a full day of emissions-free operation while delivering the reach and capacity that customers expect. A total of seven Grove cranes will be displayed. From Potain, the new MR 309 luffing jib tower crane will make its international trade show debut. This model, launched in mid-2024 alongside its sister model, the MR 329, is part of Potain’s newest generation of luffing jib cranes. In addition, the Igo M 24-19 self-erecting crane is making its debut at a global exhibition, having launched at the end of 2024. There will also be a Hup M 28-22 A, with more Potain cranes to be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to cranes, visitors to the Manitowoc booth can witness a host of advances in value-added products and services in the large area dedicated to aftermarket support. There are stands for parts, training, EnCORE refurbishment, and more, including the Tirax 80, which is specially designed to ease pin connections on Potain K masts during tower crane assembly. Enhancements to the Grove CONNECT™ and Potain CONNECT™ telematics platforms are back, with demonstrations of the new Potain CONNECT™Assist, a 4G-enabled App that improves user experience.

Elsewhere, the ProTECHtor™ control for tower cranes will be unveiled. This allows technicians to assume control of a crane while working on it to prevent accidental movements and allow faster repairs. For Grove mobile cranes, visitors can see new rope cleaning and boom lubrication systems, along with other technologies.
